Cine-Communications Unit of Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art,
Fifth Quarterly Program, Autumn of 1999

Now that, with the assistance of God almighty and thanks to the cooperation of all the personnel of the Cinematheque, the Tehran Museum of Contemporary  Art is beginning it's fifth season of film representation, we take this opportunity to widen our efforts towards offering  the best presentation possible of outstanding works of Iranian Cinema.
During the past year, some 120 viewing sessions were held, which is quite considerable in view of certain limitations involved. Now, any interlocutor who has been with us during this period is fully aware of the Cinematheque's substance and operating methods.
The number of programs held and the welcome given to them by our interlocutors, particularly the young generation, have made the path clearer for the Cinematheque's yet more fruitful in presenting the thought of Iranian Cinema.
The Cinematheque's aims are to present and provide acquaintance with a valuable cinema capable of accompanying man's soul, as a heavenly custody, in recording and displaying present-day thought.
We express our sincere gratitude to all those who assist us in this endeavor.
