The show comprises works by expressionist artists as well as 250 works by Iranian female pioneering artists, Behjat Sard and Mansooreh Hosseini .
The Expressionist artist that are on display include : Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko,  Willem De Kooning, Robert Motherwell, Mark Tobey, ...

Iranian Sculptor, Jamshid Moradian, to Display His Work in Italy


Moradian’s work under the theme the Mountain Culture and the Olympic Games will be displayed in the 23rd International Wooden Sculpture Symposium to be held 20-25 July in Italy.
 


 

For the first time at Tehran MoCA the German Animation Films 2004

More than 15 celebrated German animation films will be screened from 6 to 8 of June at the Tehran MOCA cinematheque with the collaboration of the Tehran MOCA and the institute for the promotion of documentary films.

This is IFA’s first attempt at screening and introducing German animation in year 2004. Along side this event there shall be a show of animation film making equipment on display and a workshop with the participation of Iranian and German professionals Professor Ade and Dr. N. Zarin kelk the head of ASIFA.

On Sunday 6th of June at 5.30 the re shall be the opening and the screening of
Cherchez le Femme by Daniel Hoepfrer 12 minutes.
The message by Rainer Krumm 6 minutes.
Rubicon by Gil Alkabetz 7 minutes
Der Modern Zyklop by Daniel Nocke 11 minutes

On Monday 7th of June at 10 am and 15 pm the following will be on display

Lecture on Viasiri’s Art

On the occasion of M. Vasiri  Moghadam Exhibition at the Tehran MOCA, on 26th of May 2004, Dr. Laura Turcoliveri . Dr. M. Amin Mirfendereski shall lecture upon his art on 31st of May 2004. Titled (Catastrophe in Global art and evolutions in Iranian art community)

Press Conference for Gerhard Richter exhibition at  Tehran MoCA 

 

On the 11th of May 2004 a press conference was held at the Tehran MOCA in Tehran for the opening of Gerhard Richter's exhibition.
Barn Poul Freiherr Von Maltzahn, the German Federal Ambassador , Dr A.R Samiazar the museum director, Dr Kramer - Hus - Hus , Head of cultural programms at the embassy of the federal republic  of Germany and Mrs. Sharareh Salehi the Organizer of the exhibition were present .

Gerhard Richter at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Arts

Gerhard Richter’s paintings will be exhibited at the Contemporary museum in Tehran from 11th of May 2004 until 2nd of July 2004.
This Exhibition includes 26 works by this artist, from different times of his life including his, figurative and abstract paintings. This is a packed exhibition organized by IFA under the management of Mr. Gotz Adriani. It took three years of hard work and planning to finally get these works to be exhibited in Iran. Fortunately through the hard work of the German embassy, IFA , the Goethe institute in Germany and the Tehran Museum of contemporary Arts to have this exhibition in Iran.

The opening of the 3rd NEW ART EXHIBITION at the Student Club  


Date: 25 Apr 2004

The third NEW ART EXHIBITION will be opened on the 27th of April on Tuesday at 5 p.m. The exhibition includes the most recent works of Iranian artists and will be held open until 19th of June.

This year 670 works by 310 artists were entered for the exhibition and only 39 found their way in. The exhibition includes video art, web art,
photo art, installation and etc.

Along side the exhibition seminars with the projection of films shall be held.

Retrospective

‏The exhibition opens on 8th of May 2004 at 5 p.m.
The exhibition will be held open until 2nd of July. On 26th of May Ms. Laura Turco Liveri will give a speech in the museum at 5.30 p.m.

Biography

Mohsen Vasiri Moghadm was born on 26th of May in Tehran. In 1948 he graduated from Tehran University as a top student.

His first solo exhibition was held in 1952 at Iran-America Society. In 1955 he studied at the Rome Academy of Fine Arts. And Very soon the next year he had his solo exhibition at the Portonovo Art Gallery.

In 1962 at the 3rd Tehran Biennial held in the museum of contemporary arts he received the Gold medal. In the same year he returned to Iran and started teaching at the Faculty of fine arts.
His works were then Metal reliefs, where he put great emphasis on construction of space and disciplined forms and rhythms.

Later on his wooden and metal works were joined together with bolts nuts and made articulated sculptures.
